I am going to call Cranial Tech tomorrow. My son is almost done with his

treatment...1 week from the end, doing everything right....and feeling around on

his head carefully, which I haven't done much of except to clean his head during

a bath, I found that there was a bone ridge protruding behind and over the right

ear...right where the gap in the band is (where the velcro attaches to put the

band on. This is only maybe a half inch gap, so it never occurred to me that

the bone could grow out through the gap.

The doctor there feels his head at every checkup. If something was screwy where

he was getting lopsided due to the way the band was cut, they should have

noticed it long before now, and long before me. I can't see it due to his long

and puffy hair, even in the bath it's not as noticeable. But feeling it it is

obvious.

Anyone else had any experience with this? Did it go away, or did the tech tell

you something? I just don't know how angry and worried to be. Please advise.

Well, I searched again through the previous messages and found out what this was

about. The fluid build-up. Wish it had been mentioned as a possible

side-effect before I found it and freaked out, but the doctor assured me that it

was nothing to be worried about and would go away on its own.
