Hello all wonderful Preops and Postops:

Has anyone stayed at Homestead Suites? I have been calling many places in

Durham and only a small handful allow pets. I will be bringing 2 of my rescue

dogs with me. They are the two smallest ones. Tazzy (like I've told a

Warner) is my 6 lb. bodyguard who thinks he's a Great Dane. Unlike all my other

rescue dogs who over time become more well adjusted, Tazzy has been 200% devoted

to me the minute I rescued him and picked him up on the side of the road. He

lays 1/2 an inch from my head between the pillow and the headboard when I sleep

and growls if anyone comes near, sits in my lap when I try and wee-wee, falls

asleep on my shoulder like a baby when I'm on the phone and cries and shrieks

when he sees my scrubs and sees I'm going to work (major separation anxiety).

When I don't feel well he lays by my side and will not eat or go outside or

interact with any of the others. I have never seen this kind of behavior before

and I've been rescuing dogs for 14 yrs. He brings me peace and I want him with

me for my MGB. Dog #2 is adorable Bossy Prissy who thinks she pays the bills.

She's so bossy I wish she would just get a job. She is my sweetheart's baby who

will also be with me (the sweetheart). I've called Homestead Suites a few times

and they allow dogs with a nonrefundable deposit. Does anyone know where

Homestead is in relation to Dr. Rutledge and the hospital? I hope it is safe

and clean. Anyone who has any info. I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Vivienne, RN
