Guest guest
hello all. so, here's the story... my son, nick (5yrs old) was diagnosed with moderate autism a little over 2 years ago. since then, we've been traveling down the road of biomedical interventions. the 1st one we did was houston's enzyme trio as an alternative to the GFCF or SCD. we saw remarkable results. he began to speak again shortly after beginning them. without remembering the exact order of the supplements i'm about to list, he started brainchild's minerals, td-dmps (not now), yeast treatments, probiotics, LDN, and now valtrex. he has made enormous gains with the valtrex. i am feeling good about all of nick's progress. it's been amazing. but something's just not right. while he lost a lot of the purple that was under his eyes, he still has rings. this leads me to believe it could be a food allergy. so,i decided to give the SCD a try again (we tried it 2 years ago with no luck. nick starved himself for 2 days. wouldn't eat a thing so i gave in). i made him teh midas waffles tonight since nick has an extremely limited diet (shocker). he only eats soft pretzels, waffles, oj, propel, milk, and sometimes french fries. horrific, i know. so, i had hoped to ween him into the diet. i made the waffles but put his usual syrup on them. i figured i would trasition to honey on them once i was able to get him to eat the waffles with the syrup first. he put the first piece in his mouth, chewed a few times, and gagged. he finally, through tears, chocked it down but absolutely refused to eat anymore. he became angry and upset. ugh. what dod i do? PLEASE TELL ME. I DON'T CARE IF YOU THINK IT WILL UPSET ME. WHAT DO I DO? i'm worried that he needs this diet. but he's already so thin. i can't bear starving him again if he's not even going to eat at the end. what should i do???? please, please help. thank you in advance, tracey
