Guest guest
Ok, I posted earlier, but now we have a new symptom. Tonight after dinner my son had another diarrhea and when we put him in the bath there was a rash all around his bum and peepee area. I did see him itching or rubbing his bum before he pooped. Is this the K2? Die-off? Is it a good sign? thanks for any help, Tricia S., Mom to Aidan the A Trian, 3.7 ASD (for now), SCD 44 days!!! Forgot this info. earlier. Guest guest
Hi Trish, It sure sounds like it might be a reaction to the Vitamin K2. My son also got similar problems when he tried the Vitamin K2. wants parents to wait a few months after starting SCD before doing her protocol. Another possibility might be an intolerance to the carrots. I think that seeking the help of a SCD counselor is a great idea for all beginners! http://www.pecanbread.com/SCD_Solutions.html Mimi > Ok, I posted earlier, but now we have a new symptom. Guest guest
Definitely could be the K2. You need to post a question over there at the Vitamin K list, and follow her recommendations for soothing the effects of this.... probably a result of oxalic acid passing out of his body as the K2 dissolves oxalate crystals. I would have highly recommended getting on SCD and waiting until very stable on the diet.... for at least several months before starting the K protocol. That is what recommends. The oxalic acid is just really hard on the gut and it needs to be in good enough condition to stand up to it, as you increase the K2 very, very slowly.
