10 Month Start-DOC Band

Hi All,

I am new to this group and have a 9.5 month old little girl who was just

evaluated at Cranial Technologies. She was found to have " moderate to severe "

brachycephaly with flattening along the back and widening from side to side with

a raised top of the skull. My husband and I noticed the flatness when she was

about 3 months old, but were told by our pediatrician at her 4 and 6 month

appointments not to worry about it. It wasn't until we saw a different doctor at

her 9 month appointment that we got a recommendation to have her evaluated.

It's looking like our insurance would cover the band, based on our daughter's

numbers, but we are still torn about going through with the treatment because

she is in the older age range and we're not sure how much improvement we are

going to see. I know that improvement differs per case, but I was wondering if

any of you have a child who was in a similar situation (age-wise and

condition-wise) and what kind of results you saw.

Any feedback you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Kristi

I'm praying that the same happens for our daughter. :)
