Guest guest
Thats wonderful Fliss that your ERCP hasn't made you feel worse. I've had 3 and only once was the post procedural phase terrible. Actually I was back to work in 2 or 3 days after 2 of them. I'm sorry I have not been keeping up with the post very much. I am having a lot of discomfort at the actual incision and the surrounding tissues to sitting up for any length of time at all is very uncomfortable. there are a few spots that I feel are infected and I have been treating and dressing them at home. It does appear to be helping as the drainage has slowed some. Now wouldnt that be just my dumb luck; go through the total only to have get a secondary inf. at the incision site. I see next week and if it starts to look as though I am loosing the battle, I'll take myself to the hospital in a heart beat. I am very very tired as well really weak, I sleep a lot and still feel like I was hit by a bus, getting better though. The blood sugars are doing well as I saw the endocrinologist yesterday. He checked me and I was 58 so I got the fuss about eating correctly and often enough. Also the importance of the creon and absorbtion. He said it would take 3-6 months before we know exactly how many cells have adapted. Meanwhile, I should see changes in my blood sugar. I'm glad he understood that I have and exocrine and endocrine issues. The other docs I had to explain it to them some. I like this guy; his office is quite a ride for me but I think it will be worth it. I'll see him again in a month. I certainly do hope it take less time to get the results of your ERCP then it did to actually schedule it. How is Jim feeling? Please give him my best. Have ya'll started shopping or decorating yet. I drove for the first time today, came home and took a nap. Stay feeling well Fliss; With love, Chrissy
