Guest guest
, As a computer consultant, no matter WHT you use or where it is from, you can still have a virus in a USB DRIVE. Right, the word DRIVE means a lot. You must look at flash ram much the same as you would a disk drive as that is where viruses attack. What would be the solution to this? Get a Mac! Windows and Unix are so attacked daily as they are so widespread and so few take the time for the Mac as they can¹t get the same rush of hitting ³millions² of computers with their evil programming. Also, Kim, while your suggestion is nice, there is a major consideration to be made: STANDARDIZED INFORMATION or CONSISTENCY. If everyone has their own way of posing data, then doctors will have to ³figure out² where information is and what should be considered important or not. The MedicAlert system permits this consistency of data so that doctors won¹t have to go through this. Furthermore, the one advantage that MedicAlert allows is the flexibility to add your own data and to ENCRYPT it so as to prevent the theft of one¹s information as we have seen on this board already at one level and could be worse if we all carry our dongles with us and they get stolen with our purses, etc. Anyse
