Update on my step dad

He is still in IUC at IU med center, he has never come out of is

drug induced coma. He is still on the vent and to make things worse

he has developed pneumonia, they have now identified the 2 bacterias

that are causing his infection and is now on 2 different IV

antibotics, my mom had to go back to work today, I think this is one

of the hardest things she has ever had to do, but she is the sole

support of their family and her paid vacation time is over. Danny

doesn't know that she is not there.

The nurses told her yesterday they will not leave the oral vent in

any longer than 2 weeks and that if he is not off of it by Friday of

next week they will trach him and put the vent through a hole in his

throat.

My husband has been talking to a Dr. here that has done surgery on

Danny in the past and he is glad that Danny is where he is at,

according to him this is far beyond his relm of practice.

The Drs. at IU med told my mom yesteday before she left that he

still has a long road ahead of him. I think that once these

infections clear up, he will be sent to a nursing home for

ventilator dependant clients. They tried to lower his sedation to

bring him off the vent and his blood pressure went up into the 200/

so they had to put the meds back up to keep him in the coma.

Thank you all for keeping my step dad in your prayers, I am sure

that Jesus heard them all, it is our hearts desire for Danny to have

one more chance for salvation, and we are praying for God to help

him, and for him to be convicted of his prior life of Sin and life

choices, and by this getting saved, and start a life proclaiming

Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Gods will is always right and

just and I will accept what ever outcome happens, for his ways are

not ours, but he is righteous in all of his ways.

Karyn I will be in Indianpolis again this coming week my husband

starts vacation after today, I will try and call you to meet up with

you somehow some way. E-mail me to make sure I have the right

number, I would love to see you again, it is hard to believe that we

haven't seen each other since the spring of 2000. I will bring a

camera and take some pictures of us together. I was so looking

forward to the symposium this year I could have finally made it this

time, but will try to make it this coming year.

Thank you again, my extended family, where would we all be without

this place to complain, explain, and just let it all out. We truely

are many faces, with one voice.
