Guest guest
Hi , From what I have learned, read and been taught by my doctor, stress is a daily part of our life and is considered healthy and normal also. But, major stress will cause problems. It lowers your immune system and you are more susceptible to infection at this time. It also does cause people with any kind of major illness to become more vulnerable to relapses and flares. Everyone should try very hard to keep major stress under control, but sometimes that's just not possible. I always find that taking very deep breathes helps me. Of course, if it's very major stress, I could end up hyperventilating from breathing too hard, to fast, too often. LOL Just remember that whatever is going on in your life right now, will pass and try your hardest to keep it in focus and perspective. It will work out. Stress is normal and healthy, major stress or undue stress is not and can bring on flares with this disease. Good luck and I hope everyone with questions will ask. No matter if you've never posted before or you have been here for years. We all learn from each other. We are our best teachers and doctors when it comes to Polychondritis. w >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> My question today is "Is RP affected by stress?"
