Guest guest
I lost her to this God aweful, dreadful illness. She was a fighter all the way, but near the end, she lost her strength due to a flu she could not shake. She has had Chronic Pancreatitis for nearly a year and the doctor's could never pinpoint to exact cause of why her pancreas would stay inflamed (idiopathic cause; probably genetic reason) After she was diagnosed with this disease, she had lots of pain in her back and was throwing up all the time. Throwing up even when she hasn't eaten and feeling naseated all the time. The pain was sharp, radiating back from the lower back area and so bad that she had to be put on heavy-duty narcotics to help aleviate some of the pain. Near the end, which was about the last month or so, her organs began to fail, first the kidney and then the heart. I have yet to see the coronor's report, but I do believe that she died of heart failure, because of problems with her body absorbing 'K' (Potassium). She was in the hospital nearly 24 weeks of last year (almost half of the year. I loved her and miss her a great deal. I am only thankful that she won't have to deal with all the pain and medications she had to take to get through one day. She suffered a great deal while living with Chronic Pancreatitis. Her name was Sandoval. I don't know if she frequented this board, but if you know of her please respond. I would like to start some type of foundation on her behalf to help those who are afflicted with Pancreatitis. I don't know where to begin. Thanks for listening.
