I found this on our old SCD list about carnitine: " I think the poops should improve over time..... just try to be patient. Question, though...... Does he really need the l-carnitine? In my experience (with kids on the Keto diet), carnitine increases ketones and also can cause looser BMs. He's eating plenty of meat so I would question whether he really needs the supplement since carnitine is available in the meat....
