Whipple and TP

Hi Cecilia,

Obviously every case is different but, in principle, it is possible

to have a TP, or completion TP, following a Whipple. It's just that

it is generally considered easier to carry out successful surgery

where there have been no previous operations. The surgeon would be

starting from scratch, as it were. However, there are certainly

people who have had partial pancreatectomies of kind or another and

who later went on to have a full TP.
