Diuretics are contraindicative for chronic pancreatitis, there are only one or

two that aren't on the list as having pancreatitis as a side effect. Yes, I

would

talk to your doctor about the edema. I have enema from time to time now with

my diabetes, but my GI won't let me near diuretics.

Best course of action is to stay off your feet and keep your legs elevated

(Yeah.....like that's something I can do for hours at a time!) I do have an

exercise that I do involving a rocking chair and a step stool that helps reduce

the swelling. Your doctor should be informed of this, and let her determine

what you should do.
