Guest guest
Hi, I would keep trying to get another appointment. I'm not sure if you're trying to see a specialist (sorry, I haven't been paying enough attention to following names so can't remember your story). Maybe you can find a ped willing to prescribe the band. Have you gone to starband/cranial tech etc for an evaluation? Maybe they can get the data for you, send it to your ped, and get the script that way? You're right that the window is closing fast :-( -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > > Finally got my appt.. but it's in 2 months! Guest guest
Kim, You are the one whose ped wouldn't write a script, but referred you to the neuro, correct? And, you don't have anything close to you other than Hanger? Almost all of my daughter's improvement occurred between 15 and 18 months. I agree with . If you really want to push for a band, I think that you'll need to travel the distance to get the eval from the starscanner (since hanger won't take you without the script) or from CT to try and convince the ped or try to find another doctor to write it. Or, start calling the neuro every day in hopes that they will have a cancellation. Even after you see the neuro, you will still have to get in to see Hanger and then have the band made. You really don't want to have to wait two months if you can possibly avoid it. From: christineashok <christineashok@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Tue, July 27, 2010 5:37:09 AMSubject: Re: finally my appt! Guest guest
Keep trying to get an appointment! I met a mom who's little one didn't get his band until he was 18 (!!!!) months and it's still made a huge difference in the shape of his head! Good luck http://fixin-a-flat.blogspot.com > > Finally got my appt.. but it's in 2 months!
