thanks for the post. I was given Demerol 50 mg and Phenergan 25 mg IV every 3

hours as needed for pain while I was in the hospital. At home I take MS Contin

30 mg three times a day and Oxy-IR 5 mg four times a day as needed for

break-through pain.

I have had burning pain around the incision with a lot of my surgeries and even

sometimes a few months after the surgery. However, the place that the actual

burning is the worst is at the end of the incision scar from my abdominal

hysterectomy that was done in March 1993 - 11 1/2 years ago! The burning only

started sometime this summer. I do wonder if maybe a build up of scar tissue

over the years might be causing pulling and burning pain.
