I guess that call is up to you... but if you have the script you don't "need" to see one.

If you feel that something else might be going on then follow your gut.

Do we really need to see a neuro if ped ok's a helmet?

Hi plagio friends!

My question is this: My ped sent us to STAR already but now I'm wondering if we should have visited a neuro just to make sure anything else was ruled out - something more serious before we get started. My son has severe plagio from the stats the STAR orthotist gave us and we wanted to get started on the helmet soon. Should we wait and see a neuro first?

I agree with Jen. Go with your gut. If you feel something else could be wrong,

it won't hurt to see the neuro first. If it's just classic plagio/brachy, don't

worry. I did see a neuro first because the helmet maker thought it was wise for

my son to get checked, and I needed a prescription. But, not everyone does, so

it's up to you.
