Guest guest
Hi everyone! I have been staying current on the posts, but haven't posted much lately. I had a celiac plexus block done 3 weeks ago, and it is fading quickly. I finally got a backbone and asked my insurance for a referral to Mayo, and with help from my PCP, I got approved, and while still in shock that I didn't have to fight the insurance, I got a call from Mayo offering me an appointment for December 1! And so I am flying to dale in 10 days. I still can't believe it. Anyone been to sdale's Mayo? They told me to plan from 2 days to over 2 weeks for testing. Well, an open ended airline ticket is very expensive, so I am giving them 4 days to run the tests that they decide I need, if I have to go back, then I find a way. Can anyone tell me...if I carry all my records, films and tests with me to give to the Doctor, will the make me go through test torture all over again? I have 4.5 years of all kinds of tests, some of which I never want to repeat again! I can almost bet I will be having the intestinal biospy done to confirm celiac disease, but I hear that is a breeze compared to some to the tests I have done. Any insight will help so much! I have family in town this week for Thanksgiving, 14 people at my table for dinner. I will be around, reading the posts. One of the things I am thankful for is this group and all the supportive people on it. I feel better just knowing I am not alone. Thank you to each and everyone of you, God bless you always. Hugs, Suzi B. Colorado
