Guest guest
Hi everyone: Just got back from a little over a week stay in the hospital. Right after Thanksgiving I was beginning to feel pretty bad, back pain etc. By Sunday night it felt just like pancreatitus kicking in. I went in to ER and they were great, got some pain relieve, and went through the battery of tests. I thought the one thing that was my barometer was my triglyceride levels. Anything over 800 was the clue. I was wrong, it appears. Triglycerides were just under 2000. Lypaise level was okay. White counts elevated and liver panels elevated. After several days they decided to remove my gall bladder. Not a fun thing. I got out but I still have pain, not as severe, and probably because of the surgery. Does anyone know if there is any relation between Vioxx and pancreatitus? Potter bobpotter@...
Guest guest
Bob, I was on vioxx used as a preventative to stop polyps from growing in my body, at one time, and the doctors said that it was safe for me to use regarding pancreatitis. The doctor that put me on it was the surgeon who was going to perform my whipple. Are you still taking the Vioxx now?
