I am wary of roasted cashew butter b/c I reacted to the one in the Digestive

Wellness

Snackeroons when I purchased a bottle of the kind used in the recipe which comes

from

Montreal. Cashew is starchier than other nuts and who knows if they dust the

roasted

cashew with starch.

I like Marantha raw almond butter and also Nuts 4 You organic almond butter but

the

latter is riduiculously expensive. Whole Foods carries these brands.

BTW: I get great results using the almond butter in pancake and waffle recipes

and

spreading a small amount on fresh pear or pineapple.

someone here told me to start with pecan butter. i know you can order

it online, but it's very easy to make. just put the pecans into your

food processor and let it go for several minutes. when my daughter

and i tried it the first time, we didn't let it run long enough and

it caused her eczema to flare up. the next time i made it, i let the

processor go until it had ground up the nuts as much as it possibly

could. this seemed to help her digest it.

Almond is better than cashew. You can try to make pecan at home.

Which nut butter to start with??

Hi all

Can anyone tell me the easiest nut butters to start with. I can only

find almond and cashew butter at my local health food store or Kroger.

Thanks
