Guest guest
What are the odds. I suffered for years with pancreatitis, and now I am doing good, but my husband has been having an attack for the past 12 hours at least. Of course he used to get angry at the pain I used to suffer through, and I'd get the silent treatment, which I got used to, but knew it was because doctors couldn't work out what the problem was, and it was happening so often, he just wanted the old back etc. Problem is he is as stubborn as he is a good man, and I'm at my wits end. I told him if it's because of the hard times he'd give me, forget it...I am worried about him going through this pain. I hope it is just his gall bladder, but I think I would need to have him knocked out just to get him to the ER. He won't go. He won't even take one of my Actiq suckers to help him for an hour or so with the pain. I am trying to act the tough girl, because the empathizing, sympathetic, caring and concerned girl isn't getting anywhere...but then neither is the tough act routine. Guess I'll just have to be how I always am, concerned and then worry like crazy that it isn't anything worse than gallstones. He did admit that he's been going through this since July on and off, just didn't tell me. I was told he had bad gas or constipation pains, but he just baulked at my suggestions to see our doctor. This is what you get when you have a man who's had it drummed into his head by his father that doctors aren't any good and only harm you further.
