Munira, my son has hypotonia, which I was told was a contributor to his plagio.

He is in Physical therapy and occupational therapy to help him to move better.

He does not like to be on his belly, or roll to his left side. He prefers

rolling to his right. (Tort is not an issue with him...) He is almost 9 months

and is not crawling yet. He does not like to get up on all fours as of yet. He

has a sensory issue as far as feeling certain textures and hearing certain

sounds. It has only been in the past 2 weeks or so that we have noticed motor

planning, as far as rolling to get to a particular toy. It was funny that when

he finally learned to roll that he wouldn't do it - almost like he didnt like

the feeling of rolling. He is improving a lot with all of his therapy. Not

sure if any of this helps or not, but good luck on your presentation. Lesley

information related to sensory processing difficulties for children with

Plagiocephaly and/ or torticollis for a presentation I'm about to give.

also have sensory processing difficulties. E.g. vestibular / balance, difficulty

self-soothing, avoid moving / fearful or sensitive to movement, poor bilateral

integration (use of both sides of the body) and difficulty with new motor tasks

( motor planning). Although I realize that due to my work I tend to see

children moreso with significant difficulties.

And if so, would you mind sharing with me generally what they have, what you do

for it, and if you receive any Occupational Therapy services?

helpful for other medical professionals and parents. :)
