Guest guest
, sorry I've been online so I just got your email. My coumadin is also regulated around my meds and what I can eat. I don't have a home monitor for this, so I just go to the lab for my insurance and they take the test. Kaiser, my insurance, has people who are on coumadin put a neon orange sticker on their insurance card that you show to the lab and they know automatically to have a protime done. I don't know if my insurance would allow me to have a machine or not. Do you know what company makes them or have a URL for them so I can check them out online? It might be of some interest to Kaiser. Also, how accurate compared to the lab test are they? I know with blood glucose machines, they aren't quite as accurate as the lab test, but are very close.
