Guest guest
Hi plagio friends! My question is this: My ped sent us to STAR already but now I'm wondering if we should have visited a neuro just to make sure anything else was ruled out - something more serious before we get started. My son has severe plagio from the stats the STAR orthotist gave us and we wanted to get started on the helmet soon. Should we wait and see a neuro first? Guest guest
You don't need a neuro unless there are indications it might be more than plagio. My daughter had severe brachy (flat in back). We saw a craniofacial plastic surgeon, who is a specialist on head shape, but we never had a CT scan etc, like some others do. You can request a neuro visit if you feel it is needed, but I would go ahead with the band regardless. -christine sydney, 4yr, starband grad > > Hi plagio friends! > > My question is this: My ped sent us to STAR already but now I'm wondering if we should have visited a neuro just to make sure anything else was ruled out - something more serious before we get started.
