Guest guest
Oh you make me laugh so much.. I'm so sorry I missed your phone call. Don't you worry about your subject line girl, you just worry about getting better. LOL I'll change your subj. for you... if I can remember. Okay the medic alert bracelets or pendants are VERY important to us. I mean VERY!!!!!! Did you get how important????? you just don't want to be on my " Nag" list for 2003 huh? I have a bracelet. But Heidi made a very good point that a necklace would probably be seen faster if you wer unconsious. The first thing the medics or ER will do is check your heart so they would probably see the pendant faster. You have to wear whatever you haver 24/7 so it is easier for me to wear the bracelet. I got mine through Medic Alert. There are other companies who furnish the same thing. I have found the Medic Alert keeps the best records from my checking. They have all your meds listed, allergies, doctors, insurance, etc. You call them whenever you change a med or a new diagnosis is made and they add it to your chart. I had so much wrong with me that I felt I needed to talk to someone and have them help me with what to put on that small bracelet. LOL They are nurses and are so helpful. She figured it all out. She even looked up RP and told me that she would list on my chart that if I needed to be intubated that they should use a small tube or that there might be no way they could go down the throat and not to force it. So when they ever call, it will all be there. You can contact them at 1-. You can ask them to mail you the information or a brochure. You can also go to the web site at www.medicalert.org I ordered a bracelet for my grandaughter who has epilepsy and it was here in 2 days. There are others like I said.. just go to a search engine and look up Medic alerts. I know there are more inexpensive ones. PLease feel free to check them all out. Just get ONE!!! WEAR it...All the time. Don't think you are safe taking if off to sleep. What if there is a fire? There might not be anyone around to give the medics the right info. They MUST know the meds we are on.. Especially pred and DMARDS. The MUST know that we are immunosuppressed. They MUST know our Allergies. See all the must knows ??? LOL Now, to everyone else. Please get off my NAG list. I think I made progress last year and this year I want to beat my old record. They do have nice bracelets out now... check out the site. Have someone buy it for a birhday present. LOL Sorry for the serman but you asked . LOL hugs to you girlfriend
