Guest guest
Marisa, Thinking about my post afterward, I remembered that it wasn't you that had early osteophenia, but a, (we haven't heard from her in a long time, either), but I still had wanted to tell you that it HAD been a long time since we'd heard from you and that I was happy you posted after such a lag. I've missed you! Now I can see that you had a really good reason for your silence.....a new baby!! Congratulations...I absolutely LOVE babies, and wish I'd been able to have twice as many as I did. Your son beats even my son and grandson's records in birthweight, was 9 lbs. and Austin was the same! Ethan's 9 lbs. 3 oz. makes him one doozy of a big boy! I'm sure that he has kept you very busy...just enjoy each day and give him all the kisses and hugs you possibly can. Before you know it he'll be walking, then it will be his first day of school, then he'll be off to college, and then in a heartbeat, he'll be putting HIS son on your lap to repeat the process all over again. They just grow so fast that you need to do all you can to make the memories special each day. I'm glad that you did so well and that the gestational diabetes didn't set you back. I understand how you feel about CT-scans, I've had a few out of the 17 that I've had in the last 3 1/2 years that have set me off pretty badly, but overall nothing too serious. All I can caution is that if your pain becomes more of a consistent, serious problem, with any true severity, that you might at least let the doctor do an ultrasound. Pseudocysts can creep up on you and get too large pretty rapidly, but usually never without some really significant pain to go with them. I'm sure you are well in tune with your body's reactions, functions and feelings, and that you will know when to do something more proactive, if it's even ever necessary. I pray that it's nothing that you'll need to worry about. Thanks so much for writing back to me, and for telling all of us all the good news about your baby boy Ethan, and your good health. It's so GOOD to hear this! Take good care of yourself, and give Ethan an extra ((hug)) today from me......as though he probably wasn't already getting more than he'll ever need, right?
