Guest guest
What I can't understand is how they can discount pancreatitis when they have said you have pancreas divisium and that is one of the symptoms of pd.... You should arrange an appointment with Dr Lehman in Indianapolis and fly down using Angel Flight if you have exhausted all doctors up your way, or at least ask him to look at your medical records and films and see if he believes he can get a stent into your papilla. Mine was closed tight due to scar tissue from a previous surgery, and it took him 3 hours, but he managed to find it and get it open and place a stent. Also, I can't see why if they can't do it endoscopically, why they don't think they'd have any success if they cut you open to try and fix the problem. They would be able to see a whole lot more than that. I would not be taking their response " you have pancreas Divisium, but it's not the cause of your pancreatitis, if it is indeed pancreatitis " one little bit, and I would ask them a question that they would have to answer...ask it directly to them as I am writing it.... " You tell me that I have pancreas Divisium, and this is not normal, so could you please explain exactly what symptoms Pancreas Divisium causes a person to suffer, as if this is not the way the way a person is meant to be born with, then it is sure to affect the person's body and health to some degree, and what are the different procedures to try and correct this pancreas Divisium, if a stent can't be placed. Is it not worth trying to place a stent before drastic surgery is recommended? " If they can't answer these few questions, I would be hightailing it to another doctor in the USA, or another state of Canada..if I remember correctly, that is where you are from is it not? You have been given the right royal run around, and to be told you have PD wrong with you, and the symptoms which are exactly the same as others here with PD also, but that is not the cause sounds like pure hogwash to me.
