Guest guest
Hi. I emailed Dr. R about this a month or so ago. I had my gallbladder removed a few years ago. I saw conflicting information about this on several posts, some saying that Dr. R said to take Actigal and some said that he said not to take it if they did not have a gallbladder. Anyway, he said in his email reply to me that some people take it and that others do not. He said that it was my call, but said that Actigal had benifits other than protection of the gallbladder(such as aiding the liver during quick weight-loss). I tried it for three days and started to become very nauseous for the first time since surgery. This is a side effect that some say go away soon after you start taking it, but I could not stand it and quit taking mine. The nausea went away the evening after I quit taking it and I have had no problems with nausea since. Hope this helps.
