Dear Joze:

i forgot one important thing......the cause for my SOD. I started

with the spams one week after coming home after having a

hysterectomy in 1983. Just the abdominal surgery and banging around

in there is the theory. They say that laparoscopic

cholecystectomies are causing this problem also. One of the nurses

at MUSC told me that........and correct me Chrissy if I am wrong but

I think it was you who told me that!

By the way all, is an awsome nurse. She took care of tons

of patient's and does not remember my face by i remember her very

well, she had such an impact on me when I first got sick. When I

figured out quite awhile ago that it was her in this group that was

so sick I could not believe it. She took care of pancreatitis

patients all the time and then got it herself! I remember her long

beautiful dark hair that I described as the " I dream of Jeanie "

ponytail and I remember standing at the wash basin taking meds she

had given me! I have been to MUSC probably 8 times and on this one

particular visit they had put a stent in and were keeping me to take

it out in two days. Well when they went in, the thing had

passed.......I remember it passing because it was an SOD spasm. The

docs at that time, went nuts, woke me up and started with the

ultrasounds and never found it. I told them not to sweat it because

I had had one heck of an SOD spasm and either the stent caused the

spasm or the spasm caused the stent to go..........kind of like the

chicken and the egg, you never know which came first! haha
