Guest guest
Hi , For me it is would be really important to discuss this with my OMS. Some OMS will only work with specific OD's. and others seem more flexible with this. Since you have an unusual situation, they may be more flexible with you. But definately check with the surgeon, as that would really be their call. Please let us know what you find out. It may help someone else down the road too. Guest guest
I believe there is much less trauma having this surgery today than there was 15 years ago. I know someone who had the surgery 10 years ago and I remember the torture she went through. After reading the posts here and speaking with my docs, it's not that big of a deal anymore. As far as how often you'll see the surgeon... I saw mine prior to beginning braces and then not again for a year. Then within the 3 months prior to surgery I have had and will have a total of 3 appointments. One was to check progress and see how the braces were doing, the second was for xrays and molds, and the third is the pre- op. Good luck! Guest guest
Hi, Tomorrow will my official day 1 of the SCD diet. Is there any reason why I can't substitute homemade Turkey broth for the Chicken broth? I just made a turkey yesterday and saved the carcass and juices. Thanks, Deb in MA
