Guest guest
Hello everyone, I got back from Madrid yesterday. We had an excellent time, despite our bad news about Jim's prostate cancer a few days earlier. We are still waiting for a date for his scan and cystoscopy and tryinghard to remain positive. It was cool and damp in Madrid (more so than here in the UK this last week!) but it didn't stop wonderful explorations of Segovia, Toledo, Madrid itself and the Prado. We were both OK while way althogh I was careful, as always, with what I ate. I'm trying to limit the number of codeine/paracetamol tablets I take so that I will be able to reduce them a bit every week. I'd like to try to manage without them on most days or for most of the time anyway. I haven't yet caught up with messages and I was already behind because of our bad news the previous week. I will really have to read up on what's been happening but everything is a bit hectic to- day as I'm back at school tomorrow and have heaps to do. I've just spoken to Sue on the phone. She's much better and hopes to be out in a few days. I'll see her again on Tuesday, probably, if she hasn't gone before then. Chrissy, I don't quite understand how the insurance thing works in the US but I'm so sorry that there's a hiccup. I have read about similar hold-ups happening to other people who had the TP/ICT so I hope the problem will be sorted soon. I can understand just how frustrating it must be at this stage. No doubt the docs from Cinci will be able to help by having all the info to hand for the ins. co? They are probably used to handling this particular difficulty. I hope you get the thumbs-up soon. I actually remembered to take your address with me to Spain (forgot some others though....sorry!) so you should get my card in a few days. There was a special exhibition of Spanish portraits at the Prado so I picked a striking self-portrait by Picasso to send you! It was on loan to the Prado for the exhibition from the Picasso Museum in Paris. Jim has also done some nice photos, especially Toledo, which I'll get round to sending later on. For the moment I'm just sending good wishes to everyone until I sort out more clearly what's happening to you all at the moment. I hope for a pain-free Sunday for you all. With warmest wishes, Fliss (UK)
