Guest guest
Hi All! I don't know if any of you are aware of Vocational Rehab. When I was in High School and even my first two years of college my medical and college tuition was covered by Vocational Rehab. I had a condition on my foot where I had to have reconstructive surgery due to an car accident back in 1990. During High School I didn't have insurance and so I went to Vocational Rehab and they covered all my surgeries, medicines, etc. When I started college, I still didn't have insurance and so they covered everything that had to do with my condition (my foot) and they covered my tuition...whatever Financial Aid didn't cover they could cover it. One of the things to be eligible when in college is having a 3.0 GPA but due to my pancreatitis problems and missing classes I had to close my case because my GPA dropped the 3.0. Now that I'm back in school I am thinking of opening my case but not for my foot but for my pancreatitis and stomach conditions. We'll see. This is not just for college students this is for anyone that has a physical impairment (which I think Pancreatitis is)....they help you find employment, help with the medical part, etc. Here's a website where you can find VR in your state. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Liana http://www.parac.org/svrp.html
