Guest guest
Hi all, My wife Tracie has been in and out of the hospital 6 times since March with pain and nausea diagnosed as Pancreatitis. Her enzymes are rarely ever high unless she has a stent that clogs up. She also has a bile duct that spasms and causes nausea and pain. Stents have not been working and the Dr wants to do a sphincteroplasty. My wife and I have noticed that when she doesn’t eat the pain and nausea goes away, but of course you cannot live that way. We think that maybe all the frequent procedures are just aggravating the pancreas. We wonder if resting her pancreas will help. She is in the hospital right now and she requested a j-tube to feed her. She has a tube in her nose Tt is really uncomfortable and is giving her a headache, but her stomache and back doesn’t hurt now. There is an option to have a similar tube surgically implanted right into the small intestine for longer term feeding. Has anyone done this and what were the results?
