Guest guest
Thanks for your information re edema & malabsorption, etc. Heidi.....I see my podiatrist this coming Monday & I believe that the swelling in ankles & up the legs to the knee on occasion is going to be from my osteo-arthritis in the toe bones, after walking or being on my feet for a long time! It may be gout as well which new X-rays should reveal. Isn't the proton pump for acid, cause I have been diagnosed with low acid. They showed bile coming up the esophagus, which I do not feel, but this is what caused my Barretts' esophagus, not stomach acid & only Galvison helps with that. I understand re the lasix and would definitely not take that until I rule out other causes for the swelling. But just yesterday I talked to a friend that had surgery on both toe bones from Osteo-arthritis in toe bones (that I am definitely not having done, even the podiatrist says not to) they cut your foot in half & try to line up all the bones which of course that & the hand have more bones than any other part. But she told me she also had swelling from the pain in the toe bones.....so I will keep u posted. It is getting rather complex deciphering which symptom is from which disease. My DISH disease in my thoracic spine can also cause compression on the vena cava which in turn can cause swelling, so the dog is going to get shorter walks & I need to learn to stay off my feet for awhile, which is very hard for me! Mainly cause if I sit for any length of time my lower discs hurt, dah! And the dog walking makes that part better. Please keep us in your prayers as husband has spit up 2-3 cups of blood a few weeks back & we have ruled out what it's not, but not until he has a bronchoscopy on the 12th of this month can we rule out cancer completely....either way he is going to have to make some major changes re our livihood, such as either banning smoking from the sports bar & grill or banning himself! Cause either way his body is telling him it's killing him! So alot going on here...will keep you posted. Thanks again for your help, love
