Guest guest
Hi, I'm wondering if anybody out there has been to a Hanger orthotist in San bay area. We have been to two orthotists, and got two Hanger helmet made, but both of them had bad rotation problem and one side keeps squishing and hurting his ear while rotated. The orthotists kept saying it's okay and there is nothing they could do about it.(they expect us as parents to constantly keeping an eye on the baby and keep on adjusting it every few mins which I think is ridiculous). We don't really have much option out here except for CIRS in Palo Alto which is much more costly, but same time I don't want to be wasting any more time w. Hanger since he's almost 7 months. --Joyce
Guest guest
I don't know anything about the Hanger in San but I would highly recommend going to CIRS. We went to the one in Oakland and had a great experience and got good results. I've heard nothing but good things about the Palo Alto office. Guest guest
I wonder if switching orthotists actually hindered your progress. If the original remodeling solution (that is, alterations to the model of your baby's head, made from orthotist's cast or scan at mfr. facility) was the problem, and the orthotist had reported that back, then maybe they would have tried something else. Whereas, coming from a new orthotist, maybe your kid was just viewed as just a new case, and the same ineffective work was repeated. So, I'd still be looking for an administrative solution, I think. Free helmet. Third time's the charm, right? But, if you have the means, I totally respect the elapsed time argument. Sticking with a loser orthotist didn't do Clara's head any good. -- Thad Launderville town, VT Clara age 2, STARband '10 On Nov 15, 2010, at 11:32 PM, Qingyan wrote: > Hi, I'm wondering if anybody out there has been to a Hanger > orthotist in San bay area.
