Guest guest
I too suffer from Morton's neuromas. Bilaterally ( both feet) sometimes my feet hurt worse than my back and belly. I have alot of trouble finding shoes to wear, I do better with flat shoes, nothing with an arch. I saw a podiatrist in the spring and she wanted to do surgery and cut the nerves to my feet. She had said that the neuromas were so bad that blocks and nothing eles would help just to cut the nerves so I wouldn't feel the pain. I discussed it with my husband ( a surgical nurse)with addition of the pancreatitis and the potiental I have for diabetes, we have decided that if I got a sore on my foot I wouldn't feel it. Where my husband works they do alot of leg amputations from non-complicant diabetics and from those with neuropathy that they didn't feel that little open area that started the infection. It is very difficult to find shoes for women that look socially appropriate for certain situations. I am the woman at church that as soon as I sit down the shoes come off. Good thing I am Pentecostal I can't run in shoes anyway. Those you that are Petecostal will know what I am talking about. Atwell LPN
