Guest guest
Hi guys, me again .Well the drs. backed out of the whipple surgery they said she is too sick right now and they say it is too dangerous of a surgery anyway. My dr. told me that there are 2 vessels that are really close to the pancreas and if they get damaged at all then she wouldn't make it off the table. He said it would be fatal.Guys I didn't think it was THAT bad .I mean I know that it is a major surgery but I didn't realize it was that bad. If it means I could lose her then its not even an option! She developed an infection and her white count went back up to 21,000 This evening and they said she has c-diff. (bacteria in the stool.) If it isn't one thing its another. She is so depressed right now because she is still in alot of pain . They are trying their best to keep her comfortable . She is in isolation because of the c-diff.her lipase is still in the 600's not for sure what her amylase is. but they are letting her eat a soft diet. I didn't think you could eat when the enzymes are elevated I thought you are supposed to stop everything. Has anyone heard of c- diff and is it very dangerous?? deedee
