Guest guest
O.K. so it is one lightening strike per cf kid born in each family-- I cannot tell you how many it is for the cf mother to have one or more cf kids born to her and her husband, despite the fact that we had me, wcf, and the third kid, wcf, and 2 carriers of the cf mutations that we carried! Or, and I would hesitate to guess, but maybe a MAC truck would do in some cases--this is hard work that all of us on this list do-- and then the multiply handicapped kids wcf, the triplets and twins, the poor childless couple limping along with each of them having cf! Staggering--and we do stagger from time to time under the load, and many parents are staggering more than I have had to. So, new members, it is an awsome task, this cf business, but we have some of the BEST parents and relatives on this list whom I have ever had the pleasure to hear about and get to know. Even having one child with cystic fibrosis that never does develop into severe illness is an awesome task! But THAT is why we have this great list! Thanks to all of you, n Rojas, who suggests that new members not be scared off by our cf-war stories; we need you and you may well need us! Love to all at cfparents, n Rojas, founder of the Salty Old Fools CF Club
