Guest guest
Hi, just wanted to say that I hope your daughter can find some sort of relief soon. I know that it is VERY hard to find a doctor who truly understands and wants to help their patients. I have been VERY fortunate to have found a GI who helps to manage my CP long distance. I also have a local family doc who (thank goodness!!) believes me and my pain and prescribes my monthly pain meds. Without those pain meds, I would be spending most of my time in constant pain, feeling nausiated, sick to my stomache, miserable, and unable to function on a daily basis. NOW that I take the meds daily, I am able to function " pretty close to normal " . Don't get me wrong, I can still have some VERY BAD days. But I no longer spend time in the ER's and hospitals. I don't remember what meds you said your daughter was on. Maybe trying to switch to a different pain med and some anti-nausau meds might help. I do know that all of us here use different medications to deal with our CP. The hard part is having to go through " trial and error " until we find the medication that works best for us. Just remember to trust your daughters opinion about how she feels, etc. Noone knows her body better than she does. I will keep both of you in my thoughts. Take care Kris in TN
