Guest guest Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 Meleah, This is what I do when I want a cream sauce: fry in butter some button mushrooms chopped with a little salt oregano and basil in a small saucepan. mix together 1/2 cup yogurt and 1/2 cup mayo mix in with mushrooms and slowly heat over low heat DO NOT BOIL Keep it on the stove until ready to pour over chicken or veggies. My family loves it. You are right that you can't put it in soups or anything because it will separate but this is the closest to canned cream of whatever soup that I have come.
