Geeeeez Heidi!! I just read about your miserable tooth pain! You

remember that my Dad was a dentist & I worked as his assistant for 8

years? I have had only one tooth abscess on me & remember the pain

vividly. My Dad wanted to save it but I begged him to pull it out.

To answer your question....absolutely you need to be on antibiotics

at least 2 days prior to the surgery!!! What you describe sounds

exactly right to me. The taste & slight discharge is suggestive of

infection, the movement of the tooth is also susggestive of

infection & swelling as you suspect. Be aggressive...you know what

is best for you...the docs need to listen to you. You're not some

uninformed person who is totally cluelsess. Especially with your

other health problems, that infection needs to be calmed down before

they start doing anything.

Hugs,

Deanna
