Guest guest
Well, Escherus Coli (E. Coli) is usually found in one's g.i. tract. Small children should therefore be encouraged to wash hands thoroughly before touching mouth of nose. Little kids are kind of messy; cancel panic unless it continues--but then, I am NOT the doctor involved, who should have explained this to you. Good luck with him! n Rojas ECOLI My son Padraig " s sputum results keep coming back with ecoli (very rare). The doctor doesn " t want to treat it as it may open the door for more serious infection,s.How harmful is ecoli in the lungs ? Guest guest
My sixth-month old son, Jack, has been culturing ecoli as well. He also has had a cough since birth. He has been on Bactrim and Tobi. His last culture a few weeks ago was clean. I really don't have any information on Ecoli. I was told by his doctors that is nothing to worry about. I don't think his doctors would have treated the ecoli, except that he had a cough they were trying to get rid of. They now think the cough is related to inflamation or as it has been suggested here, reflux. He is on a high dose of Flovent.
