Possible complications resulting from my surgery

Hi everyone,

I haven't been able to get online since the day I got out of

hospital after my surgery because of computer problems, but hope

that is now a thing of the past...

I'm pretty sure I got to post about my surgery, how it went well,

and I got to come home a day earlier than they wanted me to because

of the approaching Frances..

There were 5 tumours found once they cut me open, only 3 showed on

the CT scan originally, and the one on my kidney was removed, and

believed to supposedly not cause me any pain, but it didn't work out

how the doctors (oncologist & Urologist called in during my surgery

for his opinion) expected. I am still having bad kidney pain, and it

is concerning my surgeon. There are high chances I will lose that

kidney, and it really worries me and my surgeon because recurrance

rate of these tumours, even from one part of the body to another, is

70% in me, and if another one grows on or near my other kidney..well

we know what happens without any functioning kidneys...

If the pain doesn't ease up in 2 weeks, they will investigate

further and then face a few decisions. I have also been having a few

pancreatic pains flare up, and am hoping it is just because of the

meds i've been on...percocet, norco (both for pain) and Keflex

because I've been blesses with a bad fever also that refuses to

budge.

but at least the tumour removal elsewhere was successful ( in my

scar line). I am not having any more pain in the area they all were.

My oncologist said we have to really start taking these tumours more

seriously than we thought, and he is now worrying about all of them

that were on my pancreas and small intestine that are not showing up

on the CT scan as these other 2 didn't.

Anyway, for those who read this and don't have any idea what I am

talking about, I am sorry, I didn't think I should rehash it all to

bore those who remember *L*

And just a side note about reporting bad treatment or at least

persistance...I appealed after appeal after appeal, managing to get

one doctor to back me, and I won against BCBS for my tumours being

treated as cancer, not benign like they insisted. I was one, that

just kept pushing and won. If many file complaints about the

treatment or lack thereof, it is bound to fall on the ears of one

person who is able to do something about it and something can be

done.

I have 3 stories I would have reported had I known about Jacho at

the time, but the time has more than likely passed (in the past 5

years). But I will not hesitate if need be that it happens again.
