Guest guest
I saw Dr. yesterday, his secretary called and left 2 messages on my machine that he wanted to see me in clinic wed. It was after 5 when I got home, so I had no idea what all this was about and was alarmed to say the least and didn't sleep very well. Anyway, he had seen Dr. s, first time they met, over the weekend at a conference and he discussed me. Dr. is adament that this is the surgery I need and told s that 2 top pathologist; one being the dept head, looked at my slides and said its pancreatitis, as well as the radiologist reading the last mrcp. Dr. s had said that he wanted me to come back to cinci to see him in clinic one more time before he makes up his mind to do the surgery or not. Well I saw him last spring, and I simply do not have the $$ to fly out there 2 more times. talked me into it though. So I agreed to fly out for a clinic appt, a very expensive clinic appt. I called yesterday and spoke with Dr. s' nurse, Debbie. She said that he told her, " get her down here and lets proceed " . To Debbie that meant schedule the surgery. I told her what had said and she was equally confused. She is going to talk with her boss to find out exactly what he wants. If he wants me to fly out for an evaul, it will be on the 29th of this month, if he wants me to fly out for surgery, it will be in the middle of october. Either way it looks like I will be going back to cinci. I would of course, prefer one trip, but at this point I am going to do what ever it takes. Even if it means I have to pawn off some off my jewlery. I should hear something tomorrow. I know I haven't posted much, I have been so depressed then with all the bad weather we have lost power quite a bit. Hurricanes have certainly had it in for us in the southeast and gulf. I know how painful and difficult it is to rebuild after a natural disaster and my heart goes out to all those people. Now we are looking at hurricane Jeanne making a bee line for the lowcountry. This hurricane season is definetly one for the record books. I hope everybody is doing ok. Fliss have they scheduled your ERCP yet? Please let meknow, I want to put it on my calander. I read the posts everyday, I just dont have much to say. But I keep you all very close in my heart and as always, you all are in my prayers.
