That was a lovely post---I speak and read, writeSpanish, Portuguese, Italian,

and Hebrew and bad as my spelling or pronunciation may have become over

the years (I was born into a sephardic family here), I do try, complete with

dictionary and grammar, whenever I meet someone who is struggling. It only

takes a few days for my vocabular to redeem itself; I used all my langua

ges when I worked, but since retirement on disability when I was many years

younger, I find myself forgetting so many words! I notice the same thing with

other family members who live here. So, we all speak all these languages
