not cf but totally messed up foster care by NY state

OK here goes.I just talked to my hubby.NY state is trying to SUE us for the

NEGLIGENT care they provided for our 17 year old AGAINST our wishes.This is the

same agency that THREATENED me tried to BLACKMAIL me and generally NEGLECTED the

fact that our child is a victim of molestation and needed counseling by a

qualified counselor(not court ordered) one who would guarentee HER privacy to

speak HER mind freely and confidentially.I am so steaming over their BS. n

or any one else do you have any ideas? I am considering a federal lawsuit on the

grounds they failed to provide adequate care and were neglectful in her mental

health(ie they failed to take her to her legal advocate the one who went before

the grand jury in 1998)until the past week she was NOT sent,or taken to see her

counselor(legal advocate)and I had to go to the person in charge of foster care

to accomplish this.And this is from the county that would NOT prosecute her

molester BECAUSE 2 OTHER COUNTIES were prosecuting him.I am so MAD .I am

SCREAMING MAD.As if we have anything they could get by sueing we own No

property,No business,NOTHING. What do they think they can get?The only thing we

have is blood and I refuse to give them ANYTHING but TROUBLE.I am so fed up with

the system that thinks they are GOD and they have ALL the answers.Can you tell I

am not going to take this laying down ? I never asked them to take my child out

of my home and I refuse to play their game by their rules ANY MORE! I have

enough information on their system to let the public know the games they play

with people and their families.I am not going to be quiet about ANY of their BS

anymore.They have backed me into a corner and I am going to come out fighting

Becky; at this point, you need legal advice, ACLU maybe. You ARE right,

but right does not always get it done; YOU need some advocacy as does

the child. This is NUTS! It is difficult to imagine anyone successfully suing

YOU, much less multiple counties, but an attorney is needed. I am so sorry

that this is happening to you at this wonderful victorious time. If I had money

I would help you hire one, but I do not. Let me think about this, and PLEASE

keep me posted on all of this. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!
