Guest guest
This is informative and encouraging. I am now 66, was born 2.5 months premature, and weighed 2.5 lbs. with meconium ileus--in 1937. Somehow I came through it, so did my mother! I have bee on ursodial since 1987, had the same problem with reflux, and had it solved first by Prilosec and then by Aciphex (also a proton-pump inhibitor), and so far, so good! May your son far outlive my age! Love, n Re: Jack's check-up Glad his appt went well. A chronic cough can be caused by reflux which is common in Cf kids. My son was put on Zantac (now on Prilosec) to help with the reflux and to help him absorb the enzymes better. My son also has liver problems AND had meconium ileus (he has surgery for it and was 11 weeks premature). My son has been on Ursodiol for his liver since birth and is still on it. It has worked great for us so far! mom to Ashton almost 3 wcf > Jack had a wonderful visit to clinic. Jack is six months and we were > told two months ago that he had liver disease.
