Guest guest
Dear Kris, It's a good thing you bought a meter. I bought a meter too and have been watching mine as well. This last weekend when I got up on Saturday, before I ate or drank anything 175. I did it again thinking it was a mistake, 171. I brought my meter to my PCP appointment yesterday, (new md) and asked if these were concerning results as we scrolled thru the results. She said most definetly and has scheduled a fasting blood test. Maybe I just eat to much sugar? Don't you hate it when your Mds don't listen to you. The next Md that says to me, " Your enzymes are not elevated so you can't have pancreatitis " I will deck. One time I actually said to an Md after he said that to me, " Oh no, you must have been absent that day when they taught you about pancreatitis " I just couldn't help myself. He stormed out and I got a much better ER Md who had a clue. My enzymes are NEVER elevated either. You have a great attitude about taking matters in you own hands. Just keep educating him, but it sounds like you are doing a good job already. : ) Talk to you soon. Love w
