Guest guest
Hi all. Well it looks like my gall bladder is going to be taken out for sure. My doc said that there were quite a few large stones in it and wanted to remove it. I forgot to ask about the hida scan, but he and another GI he consulted felt this was the next logical step. The unfortunate part is that we have wait lists here. So my gall bladder won't be removed for about 2 months. He is also scheduling an EUS to get a better look at my pancreas. The GI he consulted is telling him with my lipase being this high, i've been having pancreatitis attacks. My doc is now not sure if my pancreas divisum is causing my attacks. He thinks that my gall bladder has been causing all the acute attacks, and that the repeated attacks have developed into chronic pancreatitis. But he won't say for sure until he sees what the EUS says. It's just so frustrating. I'll be so angry if it's been my gall bladder that has caused my pancreatitis. Cause last year when I saw this doc he said my gall bladder was fine and it wasn't causing my attacks. He said no to removing it at that time cause it was fine. And now he's saying that my gall bladder could have had stones in it all along and caused my pancreatitis. That it might have been missed on my MRCP. I've also had really bad pain for the last week. Having quite a difficult time eating and i've vomitted almost everyday. I'm getting really scared that eventually i am going to be diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. I don't want to hear that at 27. I feel way to young to have this. I've already lost a year of my life and who knows how much more I could lose. Take care everyone, Jen.
