I feel the same as you Trudy. If there are post-ops, or pre-ops out there

with horror stories, then you would think that they would care enough, like

Beth, to post their problems with us and make us aware of what happened. I

appreciate Beth telling us her story and what has happened to her. She, like

all of us, knew of the risks going into the WLS and is very upfront and

honest about that. I applaud her for letting us know what has happened with

her after the surgery and hope she continues to let us know how she is doing,

and what steps are being taken to help her.

I have only seen a couple of posts come through here of post-ops that have

had problems. I have received numerous posts from post-ops with encouraging

stories. Some of my contacts were 18+ months post op and had wonderful things

to say about the surgery. I had numerous contacts and chose most of them at

random through Dr. R's website.

BETH, thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I am sorry about the

problems you are having after your surgery, and although I know of the risks

this and EVERY surgery involves, I don't wish it on anyone. If there are any

post-ops out there that have had problems after this surgery that us pre-ops

should know about, I wish that they would step forward and share them with

us......in the same fashion as you have. I don't care to hear the slander,

be called names, and receive the rude emails that one post-op patient has

sent to me and most of us. I do care to receive post like yours though and

hope to continue to hear on how you are doing.

We will all learn from eachother and help one another by sharing our

experiences.
