Guest guest
Once the band is back on keep her cool. Take the band off every hour or so and wipe it down and her head with a dry towel. Maybe keep a fan on at night so she won't overheat. Dress her lighter than you think you need to. Check if her hands or legs are cold while she is sleeping. If not she is probably fine. After a week or so in the band her body temperature will adjust somewhat and it will be easier. You will still need to dress her lighter though. My daughter didn't wear socks the entire time she was banded (we were in san francisco area). -christine sydney, 4 yrs, starband grad > > First 3 days all good, woke up yesterda she had bad heat rash and other bumps (yeast infection)all over head...can't wear helmet til clear. Anyone else? I feel horrible cuz I must have dressed her too warmly, now she misses out on helmet for days. > > Please share experiences or let me know of tips to prevent once she gets back on. > > Thanks! >
